What is YOUDID?
YOUDID is a professional tool for generating and managing unique device identifiers for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices.Who is YOUDID designed for?
It’s built for developers, QA engineers, IT admins, and anyone who needs access to unique identifiers and technical device specifications.Is YOUDID free to use?
Yes, YOUDID is free to download and use. Some features may require internet access.Do I need an account to use YOUDID?
No account is required. YOUDID is fully functional out of the box with no login.Is YOUDID available on iPhone and iPad?
Yes, the app works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac with support for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.Does YOUDID generate real device UDIDs?
No. YOUDID generates realistic mock identifiers for testing purposes. It does not access or reveal actual UDIDs from the device.
FUNCTIONALITY
How do I generate a device identifier?
Select a device model from the list, and YOUDID will instantly generate a unique identifier and associated device specs.Can I choose specific device models?
Yes, YOUDID lets you browse and select from a wide variety of iPhone, iPad, and Mac models.Are the identifiers unique each time?
Yes. Each generated identifier is algorithmically unique and formatted for development/testing use.Can I regenerate identifiers for the same device model?
Yes. You can generate a new unique identifier for the same model as many times as needed.How do I copy an identifier?
Tap the copy icon next to the identifier or detail you want. It’s instantly copied to your clipboard.Can I save my favorite identifiers?
Yes. Use the Favorites feature to save, label, and organize identifiers for later use.Can I customize device specs?
At this time, specs are model-specific and preloaded. Manual customization is not yet available.
DEVICE INFO
What kind of specs are shown for devices?
Specs may include screen size, resolution, processor, RAM, battery life, camera configuration, sensors, and more.Are the device specifications accurate?
Yes. YOUDID uses a curated database of Apple hardware specs for accurate reference.Can I compare two devices?
Comparison functionality is not currently supported but may be included in future updates.Do you support the latest Apple devices?
Yes. YOUDID regularly updates its database to include the newest iPhone, iPad, and Mac models.Does YOUDID support older legacy models?
Yes. You’ll find a wide range of devices, including legacy Apple hardware, in the selector list.
FAVORITES & EXPORT
How do I save an identifier to Favorites?
Tap the star icon on any identifier to save it for quick access later.Can I rename or label my saved identifiers?
Yes. You can assign custom labels to your saved identifiers to help organize them.How do I delete a favorite?
Swipe left on the saved item and tap delete, or use the delete icon in the detail view.Can I export my saved identifiers?
Export functionality is not included in the current version, but it's planned for a future update.
PRIVACY & SECURITY
Does YOUDID collect personal data?
No. YOUDID does not collect personal information or device data from users.Are the identifiers real or simulated?
All identifiers are simulated and generated for development/testing only. YOUDID does not access actual device UDIDs or hardware IDs.Does YOUDID require internet access?
Most features work offline, but updates to the device model database may require an internet connection.Is my data stored in the cloud?
No. All saved data remains on your device. YOUDID does not use cloud storage.
TROUBLESHOOTING
My app isn’t generating identifiers — what should I do?
Try restarting the app or checking your internet connection if model data failed to load.Device specs are missing or outdated.
Ensure the app is up to date. We frequently update the internal device database.I found a bug. How can I report it?
